2008 Chevy Equinox

The Equinox comes in four models; the Equinox LS, LT, LTZ and Sport. The LT model comes in two trim levels; the 1LT and 2LT.

60/40 Multi-Flex

The Equinox has a standard 60/40 split-folding Multi-Flex rear seat that can comfortably seat a 6 foot 6 inch adult when in its rearmost position. Plenty of legroom is offered and beats out any SUV currently on the market. This excludes other GM vehicles, but is based on the latest available competitive information.

Gas Mileage

EPA estimated 24 MPG Highway is standard on each model of the Equinox; the LS, LT, LTZ and even the new Sport model!

AWD System

Available on-demand all-wheel drive (AWD) provides added confidence in rainy, icy and muddy conditions. The system automatically engages when front-wheel slippage is detected, without the driver ever having to press a button. In normal conditions, the on-demand AWD system delivers power to the front wheels. When conditions limit the amount of traction, the progressive coupling assembly, or PCA, will sense wheel slippage and automatically transfer power to the rear wheels as needed.

StabiliTrak

The StabiliTrak Electronic Stability Control System improves vehicle stability, particularly during emergency maneuvers. Here's how it works:

1. The StabiliTrak control module compares your steering input with the vehicle's actual response and then, if neccessary, makes small, individual brake applications to enchance control and keep the vehicle on track.
2. StabiliTrak automatically intervenes when it senses loss of lateral traction (sideslip), understeer (plowing) or oversteer (fishtailing).
3. In these situations, the system applies brake pressure and, if necessary, adjusts engine torque to help the driver get the vehicle back on track.
